We will explore best practices, do’s and don’ts of pitching, and hear and see examples from these seasoned producers and directors.

Utah Filmmaker Showcase
Jimmy and Everly just discovered that they’re pregnant and accidentally opened a portal to another planet, unleashing biologically engineered aliens upon the town of “Blue River.” It’s now up to these small town lovers to fight the invasion, or their home, planet and relationship will be annihilated.

An in-person craft-focused conversation with the director of the recent documentary, Join or Die, Rebecca Davis. Together, we will discuss the unique questions her film poses and specifically explore the research process for documentary filmmaking.
Competition
On May 22nd, the Artist Foundry will invite selected filmmakers to pitch their projects to a panel of industry experts and in front of a live audience. We will award prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place pitches and even have an open mic for elevator pitches. Whether you’re a filmmaker or a film supporter, come join the fun!
