Join us for the world premiere of Zulian Pretzel, written and directed by Harold Bohorquez. This short film follows a police officer who recruits two teenagers running an illegal food stand to help save his wife’s failing restaurant. Kicking off the night is a work-in-progress screening of Anastasis, written and directed by Josie Maye Hurtley. This sci-fi family drama tells the story of a trans woman and her father stranded on a desolate planet, where they must rebuild not just their spaceship but their fractured relationship in order to survive. After the screenings, stay for a Q&A with the directors, followed by a networking reception. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate emerging Utah talent at the Utah Film Center!
