Now it is time to put together the detailed budget–to help with financing or to get pre-production going! It doesn’t matter if you have a $5k budget or a $5m budget, the process is still the same. In this workshop, we will take a look at a few funding options, payroll and accounting setup, and let’s not forget about insurance! We’ll also discuss options for the Utah Motion Picture Incentive Fund. Attendees are encouraged (but not required) to bring a draft of a budget for your short film, TV pilot, or feature script (doc or fiction) project.

This season’s Business of Filmmaking Workshop series will be a comprehensive look at the business aspects of making your film from setting up your film as a business to managing and allocating your budget to preparing for production, providing you with the resources to create an effective infrastructure and make your project a success.
